The 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), held from September 30 to October 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, has successfully concluded. As the largest sustainable development event in the Middle East and North Africa region, this year’s exhibition brought together 3,100 companies from 65 countries. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)-led green initiatives worth hundreds of billions of dirhams, coupled with favorable policy benefits, have made WETEX a premier global platform where water and environmental enterprises showcase their cutting-edge capabilities. Jiangsu Hippo Well Co., Ltd. made a remarkable appearance with its three groundbreaking core technology solutions, highlighting China’s "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" strength and demonstrating the industry’s unparalleled innovation in the water and environmental sector on the international stage.
01 Three Core Technologies, Precisely Tailored to Meet Middle Eastern Market Needs
In the China Pavilion, Hippo's booth has become the center of attention since the exhibition opened, thanks to its highly targeted technology solutions. Aligning with the UAE’s “2050 Net Zero Emissions Strategy” and Dubai’s growing demand for a clean energy transition, the company’s three key achievements—highlighted prominently—have drawn numerous international visitors to stop by, inquire, and engage in meaningful discussions.

• Integrated Zero-Leakage System for Manholes: As the inventor of plastic inspection wells, Hippo’s innovative system ensures a precise, watertight fit between the manhole and pipeline, capable of withstanding the extreme heat and high-salinity conditions typical of the Middle East. This groundbreaking system has drawn significant attention from infrastructure developers across the region, with many clients eagerly seeking detailed technical specifications and insights into its diverse application scenarios.
• Rainwater Control and Comprehensive Utilization System: Addressing the current situation in the Middle East—characterized by arid conditions, scarce rainfall, and limited water resources—this system offers a fresh approach to water resource circulation in desert regions by integrating three key technological approaches: collection and purification, ecological regulation and storage, and groundwater recharge. The proven effectiveness of this solution, demonstrated previously in projects such as Jining Da'an Airport and Shandong Heze Airport, has made it one of the focal points attracting attention from Middle Eastern business partners.
• Non-excavation pipe rehabilitation technology: Enables pipeline upgrades without the need for extensive excavation. The FIPP thermoplastic repair liner is compatible with a wide range of pipe diameters, from 75 to 1000 mm, perfectly addressing the challenges of renovating aging infrastructure in Dubai’s historic districts. During the exhibition, this technology garnered high praise from professional attendees on-site for its efficiency and environmental benefits.

02 From China's benchmark to global expansion, strength builds industry reputation.
At the exhibition, Hippo’s “tech business card” instantly impressed international visitors: boasting 27 national invention patents, leading the development of 10 national standards, and backed by the robust research support from its China-Europe Joint R&D Center and CNAS-accredited laboratory—clearly solidifying its position as an industry leader. Moreover, the company’s successful track record in major projects such as the Shanghai World Expo and Guangzhou Asian Games Village vividly demonstrates its mature technology and unwavering quality in the water and environmental protection sector, further enhancing international partners’ confidence in Hippo’s technological prowess.
As the company leader stated during the exhibition: "Dubai, as the gateway to the Middle East, has provided an excellent springboard for us to export our technology. This year’s participation has enabled more international partners to recognize the strength of China’s water and environmental protection technologies, and we look forward to leveraging innovative solutions to support sustainable green development in the Middle East."

03 "China Opportunities" in the Middle East Market—Hippo Is Fully Prepared and Ready to Go
Currently, the Middle East is accelerating its energy transition, creating massive demand for water infrastructure projects. Hippo's green pipeline system and low-carbon technologies on display this time precisely address the key challenges in the Middle East's "zero-carbon city" initiatives, laying a solid foundation for future expansion into the region's market.
From the banks of the Yangtze River to the shores of the Persian Gulf, this Chinese enterprise—deeply rooted in the industry for over 30 years—has not only showcased China's robust water and environmental protection technologies to the world through the Dubai WETEX exhibition, but has also gained invaluable experience in the global market. Moving forward, Hippo will continue to write more inspiring chapters in the global water and environmental protection sector, armed with technological innovation as its guiding force.
